The Primetime Emmys aired Sunday night and I was so happy to see that my new fav show Homeland won tons of awards! The second season of Homeland starts this Sunday and I get to watch something else besides football yay!!
I was a bit underwhelmed with the fashions at the Emmys this year. Only a few dresses really jumped out to me but there was some strong trends on the red carpet.

I don't care what "Fashion Police" say, I love Claire Danes in this Lanvin yellow dress. I think her makeup and hair look fabulous and she seems so relaxed pregnant and on a hot red carpet. Julianne Moore has looked better but she still looks great in Christian Dior! And Julie Bowen looks stunning in her Monique Lhuillier gown.
Yellow is not just a trend for the red carpet it has been huge
in tons of collections for Spring 2013 Ready-to-wear. Definitely imitate this trend with the Aqua Floyd structured skater dress ($198) at ASOS US (check out the back of the dress). Take off the belt when wearing it to a more formal affair.
