The only two things you need for this winter season

Over-the-knee suede boots and a sweater dress! Seriously that's it and you will be all set.

Over-the-knee boots

Over-the-knee boots by styledbyroz on Polyvore

It is really all about the over-the-knee boot this season. All the "it" girls are wearing them and I predict everyone will be coveting & wearing in particular the Stuart Weitzman "All Leg" Thigh High Boot in Suede. I personally am drooling over the grey suede and dropping hints to the husband for my upcoming birthday or Christmas or because the day ends in "y" ... hint hint.

Flat or Heeled you can't go wrong.

For us Houstonian's a full on sweater dress might be a bit too hot for us outside right now. So until then, substitute the sweater dress with a sleeveless shift dress and add a long over-sized cardigan or draped long sleeve sweater to wear on top.

But get yourself a sweater dress now so you will be ready for when that cool-front finally comes in.

Must Have: Plain White T-shirt

Tuesday, August 11, 2015

I don't care who knows, I love to watch the Khardasians there I said it, I feel so free now! and I bet you do too!But I won't rat you out!

What I will share is that I am crushing hard on Kendal Jenner's style. Let's be honest she does have it pretty easy too look fabulous with the fact that she is a gorgeous tall slim model and offered tons of clothes from her designer family friends but she still dresses like a normal person not a celebrity all the time.

One thing I really love is that she is a girl that really knows how to work a plain white t-shirt. This should be a staple in everyone's closet.

Even a plain heather grey t-shirt looks so chic this way!

Clearly we all know jeans are the perfect pairing for the plain white t-shirt but to create more stylized look to the simple outfit add a third piece! A simple jacket, blazer or even a larger unbuttoned shirt really create an outfit out of your go to jeans and t-shirt. Then have fun with the shoes!

I personally prefer not such a bright true white t-shirt, I find it is hard to wear with everything a more faded looking white t-shirt pairs well with just about anything and you don't have to worry about matching your whites.

Reed Krakoff SALE Everything 60% OFF!

Friday, April 24, 2015

Besides not being able to pronounce the name properly, I love this designer and sad to hear that Reed Krakoff it is going out of business. It has been removed from all Saks Fifth Avenue stores and from the looks of the website it is about to disappear. (I am not completely positive that it is going completely out of business, but it is clear that it is selling off all of their inventory)

EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING is 60% OFF on the Reed Krakoff website.
Exclusive Friends & Family Event: Enjoy 60% off all merchandise with code EXCLUSIVE60. Complimentary shipping on all orders!

I have the RK40s and can't sing the handbags praises enough. I have had it for a week and I get stopped by people everywhere I have worn it, asking where I got the bag.  It is so tiny and cute but big enough to fit my iphone 6, keys, and regular sized wallet.
Wear it over the shoulder, cross body, or with handles. Super versatile from day to cocktails.

Originally it was $1,290 but NOW it's 60% off and totally worth the still pricey for me sale price.

Online it is only available in Cobalt  and White but the website has plenty of other bags, shoes, clothes available.

Why I Love Distressed Jeans

Wednesday, March 26, 2014

I spend most of my days in distressed jeans. I love them for day, for night and really think they can work for everyday occasions quite nicely.  Considering I work from home and not in a corporate office I can say this more easily then the average 9-5 corp gal. But I really do think it can work in other types of industries.

Whether they are skinny, slouchy, boyfriend cut doesn't really matter most of these looks will work with them.

Keep in mind that if you are wearing slouchy or boyfriend cut keep it more fitted on top and the reverse for the skinny style with looser top. Always great with pumps, pointed flats, wedge sneakers, or booties. I do think it is important to actually finish the look with a motorcycle inspired jacket, blazer (reg. fit or oversized) to keep it more on the polished and put together side.  Really you can have fun with this look!

Just because your jeans looked really lived in doesn't mean you can't look put together overall.

This is a great day outfit for me I would totally wear this on a work day and continue wearing this into happy hour and meeting the hubby for dinner out.

It would also be great for a more low-key date night on the week day or those dates that go from late afternoon into the evening hours. You never want to look to over done during the late afternoons and this will have you looking effortless chic into the evening.

{Fall 2013 Must Have} Knitwear & Leather

Friday, October 4, 2013

Pair your chunky knit sweater with leather. Hopefully you still have your leather pants or leather inspired material skirt from last year's Fall 2012 Must Have item.

Get inspired with this Outfit Obsession of mine. I just bought this sweater from Target and can't wait to wear it, when Houston actually gets below 75 degrees!
