H&M Online Shopping!

Monday, August 5, 2013

So excited H&M is finally providing online shopping! I love H&M but not enough to drive out to League City or to Cypress. I think the gas would cost the same amount as one of their very inexpensive $19.95 blouses. Unless you live near by those malls in which this isn't as exciting news.

I shopped the new H&M (US) website and here are my edited finds.

Sleeveless Chiffon Blouse $24.95

hmprod

Embroidered Blouse $34.95

hmprod-1

Loose Fit Pants $24.95 available in black, dark blue and shown in burgundy

hmprod-2

Suit Pants $34.95 available in grey and black

hmprod-3

Maxi Dress $14.95

hmprod-4

So much more online... including Men's, kids and home decor.

Happy Shopping!

What? Orange is the New Black!

Tuesday, July 23, 2013

Well not really but it is my new favorite show obsession!

"Orange is the New Black" is a new dramedy series on Netflix. It is based on Piper Kerman's memoir Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison and created by Jenji Kohan (creator of Weeds).

Click here to hear an interview with Piper Kerman via the Moth podcast

But if Orange was the new black here are the outfits I would be wearing...

Show & Tell: My Engagment Photos!

Thursday, June 6, 2013

Matt and I had so much fun taking these engagement photos (much to Matt's surprise!) Mainly because of our awesome photographer, Adam Nyholt and a little bit to do with some adult beverages to start off with to ease our nerves of getting our photo taken!

We started out at Cottonwood in the GOOF, then headed downtown to get some shots of us in the Houston Ballet's Center for Dance Bridge, walked along the Bayou downtown and ended on top of a parking garage!

Check out more pics on Adam Nyholt's blog

(and leave a comment on Adam's blog for us please!)

Too much rebellion or Not Enough? #Metgala #PunkCouture

Tuesday, May 7, 2013

The questions is.....

Too much rebellion for these ladies

Nicole Richie in TopShop Unique

I am so confused by the hair... She looks like Ursula from Little Mermaid before her life got shitty under the deep sea. The dress is stunning but the hair and makeup why?

Miley Cyrus in Marc Jacobs

The dress looks better on her then it did when Kate Moss wore it, which feels shocking to say BUT she took it too far with the hair. She obviously got confused with the "costume" word.

Not Enough

Kerry Washington in Vera Wang

I feel like Kerry left the set of Scandal while still wearing some of Olivia Pope's gloves to get dressed for the event. I am not sure why she was styled this way. Personally I think she should have worn her hair in a sleek ponytail and short fingerless gloves.

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior

why so ladylike Jennifer.... your too young to ignore a theme.

What's your take on the question?

"Punk: Chaos to Couture" Red Carpet #MetGala

Every year the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts holds the Met Gala, a.k.a. Fashion Super Bowl. The most cutting edge always wins! Looking at all the red carpet photos last night I couldn't get the Bonnie Raitt song,  " Lets give them something to talk about" out of my head.

This year the Met Gala theme was Punk: Chaos to Couture which just makes the event even more amazeballs to me this year!

The message is clear now... When you think of Punk Chaos to Couture just think of Givenchy because so many did, including Beyonnce (honoree event chair), Rooney Mara, Amanda Seyfried, Kim Kardashian, Madonna just to name a few that wore a Givenchy piece last night.

Other notable trend was cut out dresses like Olivia Wilde in Calvin Klein, Emma Watson, Gwyneth Paltrow in Valentino and Miranda Kerr in Michael Kors.

BEST DRESSED COUPLE

Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani

The bride wore black...Cut Outs & Ankle Straps

Monday, April 1, 2013

What's going on? I've been a bit MIA due to family in town, moving and my (our) engagement party. I was simply obsessed with my outfit!

The bride wore black ...What! I know but I think that for an engagement party you should wear whatever makes your feel fabulous and this dress was it.

What I wore

The Dress: Sexy, sophisticated and super comfortable cut-out cotton dress. For the engagement party I pined up the cut out to be smaller (grandpa was there) but otherwise the cut out is just the right amount of skin to be sexy with this below the knee skirt length.

The Shoes: Ankle strap heels are all over the place whether they are chunky or barely there. To compliment this long length dress I chose a thick high-heel but barely there ankle-strap black heel.
